Breaking News Yesterday, December 23, 2024, the Fifth Circuit of Appeals vacated its own panel’s stay on the District Court’s injunction on the reporting obligations and deadlines for reporting companies under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA).
Translation: The CTA reporting obligations are effectively on hold again pending further deliberation by the Fifth Circuit.
FinCEN will continue to accept voluntary submissions in the meantime, and businesses should be ready to file with short deadlines should the CTA be reinstated.
